This site allows you to scope out what is within walking
distance from an address.
So, my listing at 1616 Waltham in Ann Arbor, MI has a walk
score of 49. Walk Scores may help buyers find
walkable places to live.
You might value the fact that this home is within
walking distance to Dicken Elementary School more than the programmer did and
thus the score is not the true measure to each individual, but I found it
interesting.
What I did not find in this patent-pending technology, was
proximity to public transportation. However, included are grocery stores, restaurants,
coffee shops, bars, movie theaters, schools, parks, libraries, bookstores,
fitness centers, drug stores, hardware stores, clothing stores and music.
This might be more
useful to those who are pedestrian bound, but I thought it was worth a look.
