Moon Shadows in Pinckney, Michigan is a popular community on the shores of the all-sport Rush Lake!

The 130 + acre community is home to 121 families who enjoy such a prestigious location, with their own private beach on Rush Lake as well as their own marina.

Situated in southern Livingston County (just north of Washtenaw County) Moon Shadows has convenient access to Ann Arbor, Brighton and Howell and less than an hour drive to Detroit and Toledo, as well as the businesses, museums and cultural centers of southeast Michigan.  Livingston County has many in parks and recreation areas as do nearby Washtenaw, Ingham, and Oakland Counties.

The community comes under Pinckney, Michigan. Which is located in Putnam Township in southern Livingston County. The area was first settled in 1827 by William Kirkland who moved from New York with his family, the village was platted in 1837 and was incorporated as a village in 1883.
