Downtown Ann Arbor’s Ashley Terrace Welcomes Residents

After 22 months of construction, Ashley Terrace opened its doors last month!  The first residents have taken occupancy and are loving it.  Located at the edge of Ann Arbor’s Old West Side, views from higher units are excellent and the convenience is key.  You can do just about everything without even thinking about getting into your car!  So far Joseph Freed and Associates have sold about 60 of the 99 available units at Ashley Terrace.  This is the third and largest housing development to be completed in the downtown Ann Arbor area in the last few years.

Historically, this project has really helped to determine the demand for urban living in Ann Arbor since it was only one of several proposed projects that had begun construction.  In the last many months this perceived demand has brought more than 15 large projects to the downtown area.  Five of those have been completed or are well underway:  Liberty Lofts (which has sold out), Loft322, Ashley Terrace, 4Eleven Lofts and Zaragon Place.  Construction is also expected to begin on The Gallery this year (developer Concannon already has 30 reservations on units).

Considering the Ann Arbor condo buyer’s market, keep your eyes open for developer incentives and/or upgrades.  Developer pricing likely won’t be compromised, but there are often times opportunities for purchasing incentives on new units.
