Where is The Ann Arbor Market headed?

December 28th, 2009 Ann Arbor Real Estate Experts Posted in Ann Arbor Market Statistics, Ann Arbor Relocation, Foreclosures and Short Sales 1 Comment »

Many clients ask where the Ann Arbor real estate market is headed.  The US market is very different from our local Washtenaw real estate market.  Well, my crystal ball is on Holiday mode, but I do want to share some economic indicators that I read often and were presented last week, below:

·  Commentary and housing overview: Residential Investment: Moving Sideways

·  Treasury Uncaps Fannie and Freddie: TREASURY ISSUES UPDATE ON STATUS OF SUPPORT FOR HOUSING PROGRAMS

·  From Bloomberg: U.S. Commercial Real Estate Index Falls 1.5%

·  Existing Home Sales up Sharply in November

·  New Home Sales Decrease Sharply in November

·  November PCE and Saving Rate

An excellent econmic synopsis is the blog I subscribe to is www.CalculatedRiskblog.com.

We are here to help you relocate from and to Ann Arbor, Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Milan, Ypsilanti.  Let us consult with you. If you want to look for Foreclousre deals please go to http://kathytoth.com/foreclosure_deals.

Ann Arbor Real Estate & Community: Michigan Economy Expected To Be Back On Track – 2011

September 25th, 2009 Ann Arbor Real Estate Experts Posted in Ann Arbor Relocation No Comments »

HOT OFF THE PRESS! – Michigan Economy Expected To Be Back On Track 2011.

The worst of the recession is over, economists said this month in Dearborn, Michigan at an annual Tri-County Summit at Henry Ford Community College.  The forecast by University of Michigan economists George Fultonand Donald Grimes indicates the economy will spring back in 2011.

The summit of these great economic minds was attended by elected representatives from all over the area, with the main focus of the meeting being on transportation. Despite the excellent news, the downside is that they predict recovery to be slow. However they identify that the worst is over and they believe we are out of the “recession”.

The economists did identify an industry which has performed strong and which they believe will perform well in the future: Healthcare – with the decline in the auto industry, a thriving healthcare industry in Michigan could be a driving force for the states economic recovery. They did also identify the need to ensure that more and more people in the state go to college, as the higher educated the population are, the better off the state will be.

On the subject of the meeting – transportation – they identified that the transport network was in need of investment and that the shortfall in the budget would have to be, in the short term by more taxes and in the long term made up of alternative sources of funding.

Overall, this is great news for the region and the state and it shows why many people are chosing to relocate to the area.

August 9th, 2009 Ann Arbor Real Estate Experts Posted in Ann Arbor Relocation, Ann Arbor home staging No Comments »

Here are a few reasons why you should choose the Ann Arbor Real Estate Experts to sell YOUR home.

OUR “FOR SALE” SIGNS

We didn’t settle for the usual signs one sees in Ann Arbor area; ours are larger than standard, professionally designed, and best of all, they’re reflective. They capture the attention of drive-by prospective purchasers, even in the dark!

COMPETITIVE MARKET ANALYSIS

Pricing your home right is crucial in today’s market. Our competitive market analysis is a snapshot of the market which allows us to work with you to make an informed decision about how to price your home for sale.

FLYERS

Attractive custom-designed color flyers: content-rich pieces with detail about the property, additional photos, property’s amenities, square footage and contact information for our team.

INTERACTIVE VOICE RESPONSE SYSTEM

On our sign riders, we have a toll-free number assigned to each home. These numbers are set up with a pre-recorded message that offers a brief description of the home’s location and amenities. With these recorded messages, your home is being marketed 24 hours a day!

Lockbox

FEEDBACK: SHOWING COMMUNICATION

We follow up on each showing to get feedback about your home, whether the potential buyers had any comments about the home, if they’ve written an offer on anything yet, and what the other Realtor may have thought of the home’s price and condition.

AVAILABILITY

We don’t work “banker’s hours;” we have a Team member available on our 734-669-0337 Hotline all day, including evenings and weekends. Our full time staff help make sure that every part of your experience is as smooth as possible, and our Team Realtors are here to answers your questions, any time.

Whole Foods Market in Ann Arbor, MI is a Fabulous Place to Shop

January 29th, 2009 admin Posted in A Few of my Favorite Things, Ann Arbor Community, Ann Arbor Relocation No Comments »

The Whole Foods market in Ann Arbor at Cranbrook is one of my favorite places to shop!  I just love the fresh meat and fish market, along with the baked goods that are out of this world.  Recently I found out you can sample a glass of wine at the wine bar and then do your shopping, kind of fun to meet your sweetie there on Friday evening for weekend shopping with a glass of wine in hand.  I just adore all the fresh flowers and fruit as well.

This store is located at 990 W. Eisenhower Parkway on the Northeast corner of Ann Arbor’s Saline Road in the Cranbrook Village shopping center.  They offer several shopper benefits and events that you may not know about!  Take a look:

  1. Whole Kids Club, just for kids ages 3-12
Memberships is free – kids get a punch card (punched on Wednesdays) enabling them to be eligible for Kid’s Club merchandise, free treats and prizes.
  2. Pizza Wednesday
One topping 16″ pizzas are just $8.99 on Wednesdays, a $3 savings!
  3. Michigan Beer Happy Hour
Daily from 5-7pm, $3 pints and no corkage fee on singles
  4. Michigan Wine Wednesdays
noon – 9pm local wine tastings
  5. Rush Hour Relief
Thursdays, 5-7pm, visit the Cranbrook Whole Foods store calendar for details.

Whole Foods is also committed to green living.  Their “one Dime at a Time” Program gives customers who re-use shopping bags a ten cent refund per bag on new grocery purchases.  Customers can either accept the cash refund or choose to donate it to the stores chosen not-for-profit organization.  The Ann Arbor Cranbrook market will be donating to The Neutral Zone, Ann Arbor’s Teen Center through March of 09.

Ann Arbor’s Whole Foods market is truly an “experience”.  They go above and beyond to make grocery shopping a treat.  I love to take a break from selling Ann Arbor Real Estate to pick up some fresh bread for healthy sooups I make. Take a look at some of the things you’ll find at Whole Foods Market Cranbrook:

  • A wine and Beer Bar
  • A Gelato Bar, 20 flavors every day made at the store
  • An espresso, coffee and tea bar
  • An In-store smokehouse
  • Brick oven baked pizza
  • Panini sandwiches, made to order
  • Hots homemade soups
  • Sushi, bento boxes and noodle bowls – made to order
  • Vegetarian and Vegan Fare
  • Delectable chocolates
  • The Whole Lifestyle Center offering cooking and lifestyle classes
  • Free wireless Internet

Whole Foods specializes in certified, LOCAL organic foods and sustainable harvest practices.  You’ll find everything from seasonal, local produce to a myriad of artisan cheeses to fresh seafood, custom meats and delicious baked goods.  They’ll have you and your sweetie fighting for the grocery shopping duties – so call it a date and join in the fun!

You’ll also find another Ann Arbor Whole Foods Store on Washtenaw in the Huron Village Plaza.  We are here to help you find all sorts of local resources if you are relocating to Ann Arbor or even if you live here in Ann Arbor or nearby communities.  We are here to help you with your Ann Arbor Real Estate needs in Washtenaw County.
