Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deeds Lowered

An updated table of monthly Sheriff Deeds recorded through June, 2009 is presented below.

According to Lawrence Kestenbaum, Washtenaw County’s Clerk and Register of Deeds, the number of foreclosures recorded through June of this year is less than 85 percent of the total recorded through June of 2008.

“In the first  six months of 2009 we recorded an average of 106 Sheriff Deeds per month, compared to a  monthly average of 126 per month in the first six months of 2008”, Kestenbaum says.
